Analysing an Ident

This ident is for the Nickelodeon channel. Nickelodeons target audience is mainly children aged 3-12. It airs shows such as Ben 10, Spongebob Sqaurepants etc.

The ident consists of many surreal avatars which would be fascinating to children as they look like characters from children shows or books. The music played during the ident is similar to the soundtracks of video games. Also we see the letters to be made out of sweets such as doughnuts which would to be appealing to its target audience of children. It is effective as it clearly suits its target audience and its simple but playful ident would be ideal for children to understand.

How to take a screen grab

If you want to take a caption of the screen you can take a screen grab. To do this you must use the shortcut by pressing cmd,shift,4. This will then bring up a box which you can draw to capture the image you want.
