Uploading footage

To upload footage you need to insert the sd card in to the back of the mac and import the footage. Once it is on the mac you then need to put in to the software in which we are using, adobe premiere and begin to edit the clips in. Then we save our project in the local student share so we can access it on our designated computer

First Edit of Music Video

We have started creating our rough edit, this is rough as we have not managed to film everything yet and still need to film a few shots before we finally have all of our footage.

So far our rough edit is looking good, it is looking both creative and eye-catching. The rough edit is a good time for us to mess around with our footage and to try new things to see what does and what doesn't look good.

I feel that editing as a pair has been very beneficial for both me and my partner, the reasons being are that we both have creative ideas, therefore, we can share those ideas with each other and put our ideas together to create even better ones. by putting our ideas together and sharing them we can create a really creative and exciting piece.

Another reason being that, we can both look at things differently, and we can both spot mistakes or areas of improvement which maybe the other wouldn't see if they were to be working by themselves.

When we started editing, we realised that we didn't have many different shot types, therefore, we had to go and start filming some more footage where we used different shot types and camera angles.

Filming your rushes

What did you film?

I filmed many shots so far such as the mid range shot of the artist sitting on his sofa, the close up of him in his living room, the shot of him walking towards the camera, the pan shot of him walking in the circle and many other shots.

When did you film?

I first filmed on the 17th October and then the 23rd October. Last time we filmed was on the 4th November filming cutaways.

WWW
So far we have made great progress as we have filmed a lot of different shots in a short amount of time and already got more than 3 locations. Also we have got more our artist wearing 3 different costumes already. The shots we have taken have been mainly successful and have covered a lot of the conventions. Also we have made progress in the editing stage as we have done uploaded all our shots and begun putting them together however we do have more shots which we need to film.

EBI
During some shots the artist comes to close to the camera and the top of his head gets cut off however this can be overcome by just cutting away from the shot at this moment when editing. Also some shots can be shaky at times but this can also be overcome by stabilizing the shot during editing.

What have you learnt so far?
So far i have learnt lots of skills with the camera as well as skills in adobe premier. Also i have learnt to be organised by booking cameras before the date which we are preparing to film on.

Animatic

This is the animatic of scenes that have been drawn to show a representation of what would be going on, on screen allowing people to have some sort of sight for what it will look like.

What the Vox Pop discovered

The Vox pop discovered that the group of interviewees knew quite a bit about keeping their personal details safe online, such as passwords, bank details, personal information like your address.

Also it showed that not many people knew about things like cyber bullying, how to avoid things as such and what to do if things like cyber bullying occur. As well as this nobody mentioned about keeping safe from strangers and focused more on the hacking side. However this could be because strangers target a younger age group than the interviewees. I knew this as nobody mentioned any of this information in the interview.

Focus Group Questions

1.) Do you think your safe online and why?

2.) Would you ever speak to a stranger online?

3.) Do you tell people you don’t know your personal details? (For example where you live, your phone number, etc.).

4.) Have you ever been bullied online?

5.) Have you ever been bullied in public?

6.) Would you ever meet up with someone you have never even meet before? (For example planning to meet up with someone you just met on the Internet such as a girl or boy).

7.) What do you know about keeping your password safe, how can you make the password stronger to hack?

8.) Do you have the same password for every Internet/social networking site
?

Vox Pop Questions

What do you know about being safe online ?
Name 3 of your favourite TV channels ?
What Time of day would you watch them?
What platform do you use to watch these ?
Do you see safety online campaigns on this platform and channels?

Annotated Lyrics

In this song i had annotated the lyrics to see what ideas on the concept the music video would be using this as a guideline,  by the annotations of the lyrics it is saying that everyone wants to make it big and there are some struggles that you mus go threw to be able to get there. When i realized this started to jot down some ideas on what shot types or scenes as well as some camera angles.
